The excel sheet will look like the image attached.
Steps to follow
- Open Excel and type out all the headings in the row.
- Write down all the names randomly.
- Select the 10 names only and click on the sort and filter option in the home tab.
- Select options A-Z.
- If a message comes up to expand selection, click on keep this selection only. Now you have all the names alphabetically just like in a student mark sheet.
- Since it is not mentioned, the class and section of all students must be the same. Write a number from 1-12 say- 10 against the first name.
- Click on the small black dot in the bottom-right corner and drag it down till the last name.
- Repeat the same procedure with the section column.
- For the roll number. Type out 1 for the first name and 2 for the second name.
- Select the two entries and then click on the small black dot in the bottom right corner of the cell.
- Drag it till the last name to get numbers from 1 to 10 serially.
- Now, enter marks in the subjects columns of the sheet. They can be random but make sure they are within the full marks range.
Your table is ready. - You can make the table look more attractive by adding borders from the borders option in the Home tab
- You can also fill in the cell boxes by the fill option in the home tab.
