Answer:
in the early morning sunshine , birds were chirping and singing songs in their own language , the fresh aroma of flowers had filled the air , all of this , the entire nature looked beautiful . it distracted me , forced me and told me not to go to school . it felt as if it said let's leave it for today and live the day. then I rememberedI hadn't completed my SST homework either . now I fell into a dilemma, didn't know what to choose , if I'd go to school , my teacher would shout at me for coming late plus not completing my homework . yet I chose to go to school. as I entered the class, she looked at me and said look there you are you were the only one left , I thought this was another sarcastic comment of hers , but then she handed over a pastry to me and said "my treat" with a huge, beautiful smile on her face . then I realised she was leaving the school. I was relieved that I took the right decision . she didn't scold any of us that day .
MORAL : never take a decision thoughtlessly
It was a bright, frosty morning. The pavement glistened like a carpet of crushed diamonds in the early morning sunshine. The date was 13th July. I woke up as usual. Bleary-eyed, I went downstairs for breakfast, but the house was empty. I would usually be welcomed by the smell of bacon that sits on the plate in crispy waves, eggs as yellow as sunshine and golden brown and crusty baked bread every morning. Usually, dad would be reading the daily news; mom would be getting ready for work and my annoying twenty year old brother would be lazily cuddled up in his bed. But today there was something different and unusual. No smell of breakfast, no sign of dad, nor mom, and neither my brother! “Did the abandon me?” I thought to myself. Well, if they did; where would they go? They must have left me a note! But there was nothing. I fetched myself a glass of raw milk and it wasn’t seconds later that I noticed that I was late for school. I dashed through the front door hoping that the bus would be there, waiting for me. But instead the streets were eerie and silent. I walked towards Daniel, my classmate and enquired about the bus. I then got to know that the devils disappeared! If you didn’t understand, I mean that all adults disappeared from the world. I was quite reluctant at first but soon got to know that it was true. Adults included; parents, bigger siblings, nannies and even teachers! This meant that we would be free! No rules, no parents, no annoying bigger siblings, no nannies, and no teachers to tick us off; which meant a world filled with only children and a paradise!
But sooner did I know that it won’t be paradise but a complete disaster and it is a truism that children need adults to help them grow up!
Babies cried as they weren’t in the arms of their parents, 18 year olds began to rule the world, nobody could manage food or water to feed all children four times a day, the shops were robbed by children, all electric appliances broke down and nobody was able to repair them. Some tribes or groups started killing others over food and toys. Children turned the oldest remaining inhabitants of the Earth, and humanity’s last chance of survival: teenagers. Children starved, babies died, cars crashed, boats drowned, fire was everywhere, children began using weapons, older people were killing each other to rule the world, water stopped flowing from taps, with no adults operating anything the world came to a complete stop.
I and Daniel held on for days with no food, no water, no facilities and no affection. We looked famished. Daniel was a weakling and couldn’t stand the hunger anymore passed away in my arms. It was scared, my hands were throbbing, my head was aching, my heart was pounding and I just lost my best friend.
It was then that I felt someone punch me. I woke up from my “dream”. It was my annoying twenty year old brother telling me that I was late for school. On my ride to school, I was rethinking about my dream. I understood the importance of grownups in our daily life. We all must have once wished that grownups disappeared but it isn’t as simple as you think it is. Grownup educates us, feeds us, earns for us, and takes care of us. And a life without grownups is a complete disaster!
