Create an Organization of your own, name it, decide the business you are in to, describe briefly about the environment your business is into.

1. State the purpose of your organization’s existence, define its mission, overall objectives, department objectives for a chosen department (e.g. Marketing, Human resources etc.) and an employee’s individual objectives (e.g. senior manager, sales) (3 marks)

2. Design suitable organizational structure to your business (state the approach used), decide on the span of management at various levels. Create Departmentation chart (state the approach used). Discuss authority relationships in your organization. (3 marks)

3. Write your plan on how do you promote appropriate organization culture in your organization. (2 marks)

4. Give a brief note on how you plan to recruit and select your employees. To make this simpler consider one job position like Junior manager – Human resources and write your plan for that job. Create appraisal process for the same employee, along with career strategy. (3 marks)

5. Write a brief note on the components that constitute the motivation plan for your employees. (3 marks)

6. Discuss the leadership style that you would adopt for your organization, substantiate your style with rationale. (3 marks)

7. Design a control system for measuring the progress that you make in your organization. (3 marks)
