Political Opportunities:
Manila is the most densely populated cities in the country. Nearly 40% of the people do not get their voting rights. It is important to ensure that they have voting rights. Women participation in political activities is very less. Firstly, educating them with political knowledge is important.
Economic Opportunities:
Small scale industries and Handicrafts are an important source of ecnomic activity in the city. Encouraging women and budding entrepreneurs to increase their productivity by giving them subsidies. Making the export less costly and accessible for all.
Social Opportunities:
Education is still a last mile dream to many children in the city. Many dropouts from schools and colleges should be arrested. Providing them free and compulsory education upto the age of 14 is essential.
Objectives :
To have an overall development in terms of Economic, Political and Social development in the city. Concentrate more on the upliftment of poor from poverty and Hunger.
Tasks:
- Constructing new pre-schools and Secondary schools in the city.
- Creating wellness and rehabilitation centres for drug addicts.
- Providing credits to the small entrepreneurs.
- Initiating schemes that will eradicate poverty.
- Equal participation of women in the workforce.
Time frame:
The above mentioned tasks are expected to be accomplished in the next 5 years.
Resources:
- A corpus of Rs. 60 crores will be dedicatedly to the infrastrcture developmental activites.
- Additional Rs. 40 Crores will be spent on poverty-related schemes.
