Given :   real life problems involving the GCF of three numbers

To Find : Create problem and solve

Solution:

GCF = Greatest common Factor

A room has dimensions length = 16 ft  , breadth = 12 ft and height = 10 ft

Walls to be floored with Squares tiles

Find maximum size of tile  so that tiles are not cut

To Find maximum size of tile  need to find HCF / GCF (16 , 12 , 10)

16 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2

12 = 2 * 2 * 3

10  = 2 * 5

GCF = 2

Hence maximum size of tiles  = 2 ft by 2 ft

24 Candies , 36 chocolates ,  6 ice creams  to be distributed among students

Find between how many friends these can be distributed if to be divided all things in whole numbers.

24 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 3

6 = 2 * 3

36 = 2 * 2 * 3 * 3

GCF = 2 * 3  = 6

Hence can be distributed among 6 friends
