Answer:

I am so happy at the Nobel Prize award. The Nobel Foundation recognized my work on environment. I launched a campaign to regenerate and revive forests in my region; women folk contributed a lot in this campaign. Tree planting movement helped me and many other women like me in the following ways:

1. The ability to feel the confidence to plant saplings and nurture them into big trees.

2. To earn an income by selling those trees.

3. Transformation of the landscape and environment.

4. Local flora and fauna began to thrive again.

5. People became aware of their rights and conscious about them.

I didn't have the slightest idea the world was watching me. I am so much thankful to God, people and the world for recognizing my work.

Explanation:

The tension force acting on each wire is the same. Thus, the extension in each case is the same. Since the wires are of the same length, the strain will also be the same.

The relation for Youngs modulus is given as:

Y=StrainStress

=Strain(AF)=Strain(d24F)     ....(i)

Where,

F = Tension force

A = Area of cross-section

d = Diameter of the wire

It can be inferred from equation (i) that Y is proportional to (1/d2)

Youngs modulus for iron, Y1=190×109 Pa

Diameter of the iron wire = d1

Youngs modulus for copper, Y2=120×109 Pa

Diameter of the copper wire = d2

Therefore, the ratio of their diameters is given as:

d2d1=Y1Y2=190×109120×109=1219=1:1.25
