F. Make a notice to be put on a riverbank asking people not to throw garbage, Polythene bags,
etc. in the river:

A notice should be brief and to the point.
On top write in bold letters - NOTICE.
Write a catchy heading.
If there are a number of instructions, write them in points.
Highlight the important words of points.
At the end, on the left hand side we write the name of the person or his or her
designation who has issued the notice. In your notice you can write - the students of
school
Put up the notice in a place where people can see it easily.

Answer:First of all, it is illegal to dump garbage in a river.
Here is what happens: first it is unsightly to find garbage in a river. Many pollutants are in the garbage that will harm fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, etc. People that drink the water or eat the fish will be harmed, as well.
As the garbage decomposes, it will take oxygen out of the river, further harming animals. Then it will add nutrients like nitrogen and potassium that will lead to algal blooms which is harmful to the animals. Some chemicals breakdown very slowly like long chain organics and plastics and will create lasting damage to the ecosystem.
Lastly, since the river flows into other rivers, lakes and oceans, the pollution will be spread out far from the dump site.
