Credit as in subject wise right ?
If so then you get extra credit for stuff you do in school could be an extra class you take

Credit can also be consider as a thing when like let’s say you take a pack of cookies from a local store and tell them you’ll pay them later it’s considered as credit so basically the money you are supposed to pay later is Credit .
