Ferrous sulphate i.e, FeSO4

If we look at their valency , Fe had a valency of 2+ which means it can donate 2 electrons .

If we see the valency of SO4 , it is 2- which means that it can accept 2 electrons

Now the valencies cross each other i.e

Fe SO4

2 2

On crossing as both of their valencies are same therefore the compound formed is FeSO4
