Being a Keralite I can answer this better than many other state people.
Christians are no where a clean slate as far as the evil system of caste is concerned, thanks to the Indian background.
In Kerala, unlike Hindus the majority among Christians belong to General category. The major divisions Catholics and Orthodox both belong to General and constitute the majority among the Christians.
Now the other sections like MArthoma ,Jacobite etc which were formed from Othodox section ,also belong to General.
However, there is another important section predominantly settled near coastal areas which are coming under Latin Catholics category. This is the major OBC group of Christians.
Now the dalit converts are segregated and kept as different group as Dalit Christains which wil come under SC category.
And please do not believe in the naive comments of anyone in Quora claiming there is no caste. The caste pride of RC, orthodox groups is notorious in Kerala.
