Answer:
In order to enhance creative and critical thinking and generate curiosity among students by mixing real-life situations with learning, the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has launched 'Creative and Critical Thinking (CCT) Weekly Practice Programme' in all CBSE schools. The board has generated a circular in this regard for the schools affiliated with CBSE on January 13.
Talking about this initiative, Joseph Emmanuel, director academics, said that CBSE CCT practice aims to empower teachers to connect real-life situations with learning and ask questions related to the same. This will help in building curiosity among students, enhance students’ problem-solving skills and facilitate discussions to build collaboration. It will also engage parents and the community at large in the students' learning process.
Under this programme, a set of five questions every week (5 QAW) will be shared with the teachers as well as students. The question won’t be directly related to the syllabus but will surely be connected to the overall learning of the students (Classes VII to X).
