Kabuliwala is one of the many great works of the immaculate rabindranath Tagore. The story is set up in the backdrop of Kolkata and it portrays of the events that took place in the twentieth century. It brings out the delicate love and affection a father and a daughter have for each other. The story line may sound to be simple but the way in which it has been written can melt hearts. It brings out the relationship between a Pathan trader and a five year old Bengali girl. The qualities of love, affection and friendship are highlighted in this story. It transcends many borders of nationality, religion , language through love.

Kabuliwala is a story penned down by the famous writer Rabindra nath tagore. The story is about a 5 yr old girl who develps a strong bond of friendship with a kabuliwala, who in turn treats her as his own daughter as he misses his daughter. He had come to another place to make a living and wasn't able to see much of his family or daughter. He commits some murder when he is not paid the for the purchase of a mat and is prisoned for 5-7 years, when he is released and goes to to the girl's house, he finds that she is being married, seeing him cry, the girl's father gives him some money so that he can go back to his own daughter. The story is very touching as it unveils the emotions of a father, and a different kind of friendship. I would like to request everyone to read this story.
