In the poem, "Television" the poet Roald Dahl talks about the ill effects of the presence of television has caused in the lives of the people. He points out the fact that because of the habit of watching television, the children had lost the habit of reading books. The innocence of the children is seen to be lost. Watching television is not much engaging thing as it is while reading books. It slows down the brain and makes it much strained. The imaginations and the critical approaches of the children get limited because of watching television.
