In Paradise Lost Book, Milton gives a clear picture the character of Satan. In the opening of Book IV, Satan talks to himself, revealing to the readers the inner mind of Satan. Like soliloquy in drama, Milton introduces the soliloquy of Satan. In the soliloquy, Milton shows the character the character of Satan as a complex and conflict individual. Satan argues with himself about his miserable state and he being the reason for it.
It also talks about the beauty of Paradise and Milton beautifully describes about the fresh and green beauty. Milton's description of Eden shows the poetic creative of the poet. The epic's grandeur style is clearly seen in the description of the garden. In Book IV, Satan sees Adam and Even for the first time. Satan realizes that Adam and Eve are different from other creatures and are walking in an upright manner and also resemble God in appearance. Satan's realization of Adam and Eve closely resemble God has a biblical reference.
