• The play has been written by Mahesh Dattani that deals with dual aspects that are two sides of the same coin.
• Author has depicted the perplexing fact of a girl child playing second fiddle to a boy child. Also today, Indian culture is fascinated with the male boy.
• The kids were born conjoined at the hip and had to be disjoined by operation. They had three legs, with girl's body having the required blood flow for it. There after, the story of oppression and prejudice began.
• Despite her good chances, the girl was denied the leg because she was a girl child. With the help of politics, the mother and grandfather rigged the procedure to favour the boy over the girl by giving the boy two legs to make him perfect.
• As a result, the boy had two legs for two days, which would have been girl's if the surgery had been done correctly.
