In the Jim Corbett composing of Kuwar Singh, he referenced what the man instructed him.  

He recalls when he met Singh where he showed him the most fundamental exercise of his life.  

It goes like,

Jim Corbett in The Hunter’s Friends tells his readers about Kunwar Singh and how he knew the man ever since Corbett got his first gun. He knew Kunwar Singh since he was just eight-year-old.

The story also recounts a tale by Kunwar Singh where he tells Jim Corbett the story about one of his friend who had to face a harsh circumstance in front of a tiger because he didn’t know how to climb trees.
