cross hybridization is a very tedious and time consuming process .
✴️this is so because it is not necessary that in first cross we'll get the desired characters in an offspring.
usually, only one in a few hundred to a thousand crosses show desirable characters.
✴️moreover the pollen grains have to be collected of suitable plants and have to be placed on stigma of suitable plant .
