‘crstalline solids are anisotropic in nature' what does this sentence mean?

See anisotropic mean those substances whose properties vary with different crystallographic orientations..
And crystalline solids have different properties when viewed from different directions

it means their physical properties like electric resistance and reflective index show diff valuewhen measure alongdiff direction
