Answer:
"CRUEL KINDNESS"
Cruel Kindness
what an awful thing to take pride in
teeth shake and shimmy with sharp words
the small sentences that have hurt
many run millions of miles away
just to escape your haze of dismay
A vicious cycle that spins round
while tall lifeless figures push our faces to the ground
the darkness can only be awaken by the light
like a loving hand from a mother to a child
just pushing through you smiled
never really realizing your blindness
of your cruel kindness.
summative analysis
CRUEL KINDNESS
We see a poem about a person who had learned to communicate with cruel kindness. Using a hyperbole like " Run millions of miles away" shows what this character does to people. He makes them run in fear. I also use a simile in the poem to show that if the character had the loving touch of a mother or even some sort of care he wouldn't be so cruel. The oxymoron cruel kindness is given to show that the character being written about doesn't necessarily know how cruel he can be or why he is. In his mind he is being kind even though he is being condescending. "Teeth shake and shimmy" is used to explain how much the character runs his mouth and constantly uses negative words to hurt people.
