Me: "Hello, how are
you Sandeep? You look very sad."
Sachin: "He is unhappy because he saw his neighbour beating Tommy, the street dog. Tommy was howling with pain."
Sandeep: "I don't know why people are so cruel to animals. The poor dog does not disturb anyone. Even then he is beaten."
Me: "Today I saw the milkman handling his cows roughly. He always sells them to the butcher when they stop yielding enough milk."
Sachin: "Kallu owns a lot of goats and cattle whom he finally sells to the butcher."
Sandeep: "It is really sad that no one understands that animals also have feelings. They also feel the pain and suffer like us."
Me: "I have requested the editor of the Daily News to start a special section in the newspaper which will be dedicated to the care of animals. I have offered to contribute an article every week for the same purpose."
Sachin: "I think that is a very good idea. I will also write something about it." Sandeep: "I hope it will make people aware about the sufferings of the animals and things will improve."
