crystals of a substance changed their colour on heating in a closed test tube but regained it after sometime when they were allowed to cool down. Name the substance and write its formula and explain the phenomenon involved

the substance is hydrated salts like cupper sulphate pentahydrate. formula is CuSO4.5H2O .this compound is blue in colour but anhydrous form is very white. phenomenon is that crystal of hydrated salt are heated , they lose colour of crystallization which is responsible for colour.when it is left to cool , it absorbs moisture from air and again gain it's water of crystallization and also it's colour
