since the csa of cylinder = pie x r x l
308= 22/7 x r x 14
r= 308 x 7 /22 x 14 =7 cm
h^2 = l^2 - r^2
h^2= 196 -49 =147
h= under root 147 =12.12 cm
tsa = 2 x pie x r x[h+ r]
= 2 x 22/7 x 7 x [12.12+ 7]
= 44 x 19.12 = 841.28 cm^2
