Given:

  • CSA of cylinder = 132 cm²
  • Volume = 99 m³

\\ \\ \\

To find:

→ Diameter

→ Height of pillar

\\ \\ \\

Method:

CSA of cylinder = 2 π r h

⇒ 132 = 2 π r h

⇒ π r h = 132 ÷ 2

⇒ π × r × h = 66    → → → [Equation 1]

\\ \\

For finding Volume:

Volume of Cylinder = π r² h

⇒ 99 = π × r × h × r

\\ \\

From Equation 1,

⇒ 99 = 66r

⇒ r = 99 ÷ 66

⇒ r = 1.5

\\ \\

Diameter = 2 × Radius

⇒ Diameter = 2 × 1.5

∴ Diameter = 3 m

\\ \\

Now, Substitute value of radius in Equation 1;

π × r × h = 66

\Rightarrow \: \sf{\dfrac{22}{7} \times \dfrac{3}{2} \times h = 66}\\\\\\\\\Rightarrow \: \sf{\dfrac{66h}{14} = 66}\\\\\\\\\Rightarrow \sf{h = \dfrac{66 \times 14}{66}}\\\\\\\\\therefore \large{\boxed{\boxed{\bf{Height = 14 m}}}}
