----------------------------------------

Here is the solution:

----------------------------------------

Curved surface area = 264 m²

⇒ 2πrh = 264

Volume = 924 m³

⇒ πr²h = 924

Solve for r and h:

2πrh = 264 --------  [ 1 ]

πr²h = 924 --------  [ 2 ]

From [ 1 ] :

2πrh = 264

h = 264 ÷ 2πr

h = 42/r        --------  [ 1a ]

From [ 2 }:

πr²h = 924

h = 924 ÷ πr²

h = 294/r²      --------  [ 2a ]

Equate [ 1a ] and [ 2a ] :

42/r = 294/r²

Cross multiply:

42r² = 294r

Divide both sides by r:

42r = 294

Divide both sides by 42:

r = 7 m

Find h from [ 1 ]:

h = 42/r

insert r = 7:

h = 42/7

h = 6 m

Find Diameter:

Diameter = Radius x 2

Diameter = 7 x 2 = 14m

Answer: Radius = 14m and height = 6m
