Answer: 1.658149 (to 6 decimal places).

The reason behind my rewording of the question is that, from the fundamental theorem of calculus, every number (except for zero) has 2 square roots, 3 cube roots, 4 fourth roots and so. This means that a complete answer to your question would have 12 answers. I’m sure that you don’t want all of these, especially as all but two require us to expand the idea of numbers from the number line to the complex plain; something that most people are unlikely to encounter in school or later life.
