Given: The number: 34.2

To find: Cube root of 34.2 in two decimal places .

Solution:

  • Now we can write 34.2 as 342/10.

                      ∛342 / ∛10

  • Now 342 comes in between 340 and 350, such as:

                      ∛340 < ∛342 <  ∛350

  • So putting the values in it, we get:

                      6.980 <  ∛342 < 7.047

  • Now we can observe that the change in 7.047 ------> 6.980 is 0.067
  • Then the change in ∛340 to ∛342 will be 2 as:

                      0.067/10 x 2 = 0.0134 = 0.013

  • Now: 6.980 + 0.013 = 6.993
  • Now putting this value in above we get:

                      ∛342 / ∛10 = 6.993 / 2.154 = 3.246

Answer:

So the cube root of 34.2 in two decimal places  is 3.25
