Area to be painted = Total surface area of Square

TSA of Square = 6 × (side)² = 6×(12)² = 864 m²

1 m² = Rs. 35

864 m² = Rs. (864*35) = Rs. 30,240

Step by Step Explaination :–

Length of the side of the cube shaped box = 12cm

Converting 'cm' into 'm' :–

 = > \frac{12}{100}cm = 0.12m \\

Formula of total surface area of the cube = 6a²

∴ Total surface area = 6(0.12)² = 6×0.0144

= 0.0864m²

A/q,

∴ Cost for painting the outer surface of the box at the rate of 35 per square metre = 35×0.0864 = ₹3.0240
