Answer:

Each edge of each cube measures 5 cm.

Now,

When 3 of such cubes are joined together, we will surely get a solid and it will be a cuboid.

Now,

Height of the cuboid, h = Edge of the cube = 5 cm

Length of the cuboid, l = 5 + 5 + 5 = 15 cm

Breadth of the cuboid, b = Edge of the cube = 5 cm

Now,

Total surface area of the cuboid ( T.S.A ) = 2 ( l * b + b * h + h * l )

TSA = 2 ( 15 * 5 + 5 * 5 + 5 * 15 )

TSA = 2 ( 75 + 25 + 75 )

TSA = 2 * 175

TSA = 350 square cm

Total surface area of the cuboid = 350 sq. cm or 350 cm^2

Volume of the cuboid ( V ) = l * b * h

V = 15 * 5 * 5

V = 375 cube cm or 375 cm^3

Volume of the cuboid = 375 cu. cm or 375 cm^3

Hence,

Total surface area of resultant solid = 350 cm^2

Volume of the resultant solid = 375 cm^3
