Given:

The brass volume that has to be drawn into a cylindrical wire = 2.2 $dm^{3}$

A cylindrical wire out of it with diameter(d) = 0.25 cm

∴ The radius of this wire (r) = 0.125 × $10^{-2}$ m

We have to find, the length of this wire.

Solution:

Let the length of this wire = h

We know that,

The volume of a cylinder = $\pi r^{2} h$

The volume of the cylinder = The volume of the given brass

$\dfrac{22}{7}\times (0.125\times 10^{-2})^{2} h$ = 2.2 × $10^{-3} m^{3}$

⇒ h = 448 m

Thus, the length of the cylindrical wire that can be formed is 448 m.
