NaCl is large in size and its p- electrons produce better shielding hence, it is ionic. Water being ionic (polar) in nature dissolves ionic compounds easily an we know polardissolve polar and non-polar dissolvenon-polar. Therefore, CuCl is lesssoluble in water compared to NaCl.
