  Ramayana and Mahabharata have very great cultural influence on our society.

Basis of Literature: They have formed the basis of many of our literature. We cannot find greater works than these masterpieces, in the Indian history.

Origin of Language: Many languages have seen to have developed based on language used in the two epics.

Religions: The teachings of Ramayana and Mahabharata, have been the basis of religions like Hinduism.

Lifestyle: The lifestyle of people in India, is very much based on the two epics. The dressing style, nature of food, decorations at home are all seem to have come from the two epics.

Religious ceremonies: Ceremonies like marriages, house warming are not complete without mantras. These have their origin in Ramayana and Mahabharata. T

   Thus Ramayana and Mahabharata have culturally influenced our Indian society.
