Though I have neither visited China nor have any direct links with the people there however my reply is based on my acquired knowledge through books and news papers. The similarities are as follows: _
- Chinese and Indian cultures are the most ancient living cultures in the world.
- Many visitors from China had covered about India in the ancient times. That had been adopted in their art, technology and philosophy.
- Buddhism is the important link between both the nations.
- The famous novel The Good Earth gives some insight in Chinese culture. The strong family and societal bonds are similar to both the nations.
- Indian communities that live in the Himalayas do have similar features often called Mongolian features as of Chinese. Calcutta has Chinese community that lives there since many decades.
- Tibet is the another link between the two countries.
- One of the most reverend pilgrimage of Indian culture the Kailash Parvat and Mansarovar lake lies in China.
- That the cycle of Monsoon that brings rains to India is linked to Tibet adds to the culture besides the mighty river Brahmaputra in the North East of India that originates from China.More than a 1000km of border is shared by both the nations.
