Explanation:

The  Culture of the people of Punjab is supposed to be one of the oldest  and richest cultures of the world which has a very great history and complexity. The Culture  of the Punjabi’s shows its diversity and rich cultural heritage which includes different fields  like philosophy, poetry, spirituality, education, artistry, warfare, architecture, traditional values and history.

The spirit of mutual  understanding amidst a  shared history has enabled a special unity in diversity. The Sikh art and Culture is synonymous with that of the Punjab Region.  The Punjab  itself has been called “India’s Melting Pot”; due to the confluence of invading cultures.

The States of Andhra Pradesh and Punjab share many similarities and both  the States lean a lot from each other by mutual interaction  centred on knowing about  each other’s culture, history and tradition.

Like several folk dances in Andhra Pradesh, there are a good number of folk dances in Punjab, each with their own colorful history and unique style. The Bhangra is a folk dance and music that originated from Punjab. Originally  Bhangra  was performed by the farmers of the region to welcome the harvest season. The dance  has witnessed incredible evolution and has been popularized even in  the West.

The culture of Andhra Pradesh is an integral part Gadwal, Venkatagiri, Pedana,Bandarulanka,  Uppada and Mangalairi,  the exclusive metal ware, brass, stone and wood carving from Budithi  in Srikaklulam District and  Veenas from Bobbili  and colourful toys from Etikoppaka and  Kondapalli highlight the immense talent of the Andhra craftsmen.  Har Mohinder Singh Sahni, a Social worker and senior citizen from Punjab who resides in Vijayawada says, that there are so many similarities of celebrations between Andhra and Punjab.

I would like to present before you the culture of Andhra along with the culture of Punjab , the similarity between the celebrations of the festivals of both the States.  In Andhra Pradesh, we  people celebrate  Bhogi  Festival.  In Bhogi Festival early morning, we people gather the wood and put a wood fire in the open place and this is worshipped. Where as in North India particularly in Punjab, it is called Lohri Festival.

hope this helps you
