Before independence when everyone was struggling for the freedom of the country, great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Bhagat Singh went to jail while struggling for the freedom. At that time no one would have thought that after independence the same jails will be filled by the murderers and the dacoits. They would never have thought even in their most dangerous dreams at condition of the country as it is today.

We are today least interested in thanking them but at the same time we never forget to scold them for even those mistakes which they never did in their lives. As someone has rightly said that “After death only mistakes done by the person is remembered no matter what good they did in their lives”. They spent more than half of their lives in the jails; they were kept away from food several days, they were made to sleep on the slabs of ice for several hours. And they did it laughingly, but for whose benefit? Theirs or ours? Who is living in the free India today? They or we? If everything was done for us then is it not our duty to respect them? Ask your soul to get up before it will be too late. Be the first one to respect these people. Be the first one to raise your voice for their respect. We want the history to repeat once again.
