Answer:

To have exactly  the same number of each item we must buy 24 items of each.

\red\bigstar For that me must buy 4 packets of Cups and 3 Packets of plates.

SOLUTION

Number of cups sold in one package = 6.

Number of plates sold in one package = 8.

If we want to have the same number of each item then ,

We must find LCM of 6 and 8 ,

6 = 2 × 3

8 = 2 × 2 × 2

LCM of 6 and 8 = 2 × 3 × 2 × 2

LCM of 6 and 8 = 24

✳We will have exactly the same number of each if we buy 24 items of each.

CUPS

One packet of cups = 6 cups.

✳In order to get 24 cups we must buy ,

\sf \dfrac{24}{6} = 4 \: Packets \: of \:Cups

PLATES

One packet  of plates = 24 cups.

✳In order to get 24 plates we must buy,

\sf \dfrac{24}{8} = 3 \: Packets \: of \: Plates
