curd is not kept in copper and base utensils. why

lactic acid is present in curd.copper and brass utensils reacts with acid present in the curd.due to this poisonous salts get formed.therefore,curd is not kept in copper and brass utensils.

when we kept in copper and brass utensils ,curds (and other acidic food items) reacts with copper and form toxic compound which may be unfit for human consumption, and me cause food poisoning.
