Explanation:

Curd should not be kept in copper or brass vessels because the acid present in curd (lactic acid) reacts with the metal of the vessel ,i.e. copper or brass. Acids are corrosive in nature and the acid in curd will gradually corrode and eat up the metal (copper or brass) of the vessel. Also, the reaction between copper/brass with the acid in curd will produce toxic products, which if consumed by us, can cause food poisoning.

So, it is advised to store curd in glass vessels or steel vessels.
