The current‐voltage relationships in the electrolysis of aqueous solutions of hydrogen, sodium, potassium, and lithium fluoride, using platinum electrodes, were determined at 0° and 25° C. for various concentrations. The method of measuring current passing with varying potentials was employed. The purpose of the work reported in this article was to study the voltage‐current relationships in the electrolysis of certain aqueous fluoride solutions between bright platinum electrodes. We were interested in particular in the decomposition potentials.
