Given,

  • The curved surface area of the cylinder = 121 cm²
  • Height of the cylinder = 35 cm

To find,

  • We have to find the radius of the base of the right circular cylinder.

Solution,

We can simply find the radius of the base of the right circular cylinder by using the following formula:

       The curved surface area of the cylinder = 2πrh    (*)

Height of the cylinder = 35 cm

Using (*), we get

          121 = 2 * 22/7 * r * 35

          121 = 2 * 22 * 5 * r

          121 = 22 * 10 * r

121 / 220 = r

0.55 cm = r

Hence, the curved surface area of a right circular cylinder of height 35 cm is 121 cm², then the radius of the base of a right circular cylinder is 0.55 cm.
