Dude, the reaction is something like this:

2NaOH  +  CuSO₄ = Na₂SO₄    +   Cu(OH)₂

The copper hydroxide is a pale blue coloured precipitate (I've done this in my school's chem lab)

This is a type of double displacement reaction, since the hydroxyl (OH⁻) group is added to copper and the sulphate (SO₄²⁻) group gets added to sodium
