Dr. Cuss, the general practitioner was enormously curious to meet the stranger. All the people at Iping were talking about his eccentric appearance and behavior. When he came to know that he was an experimental investigator, he became more curious to meet him.
One morning he reached Coach and Horses and knocked on the stranger’s door. Griffin did not like his coming in and received him coldly. Dr. Cuss began asking him questions which annoyed Griffin. Then suddenly, a draft of the wind from the window blew a paper into the fire place.
