Given :-

1. Side of the cardboard = 75 cm

2. Side of the square = 25 cm

To find :-

◍ The area of the piece left

Formula to be used :-

\boxed{\tt{Area\:\:of  \:  \: square  \: = \:  (side)^{2} }}

Solution :-

First we will find the area of the cardboard.

\tt{Area  \:  \: of \:  \: the \:  \:  cardboard = (75  \: cm)^{2}} \\  \\   \tt{= 5625 \:  {cm}^{2} }

Now, we will find the area of the square to be cut out.

\tt{Area  \:  \: of \:  \: the \:  \:  square = (25  \: cm)^{2}} \\  \\   \tt{= 625 \:  {cm}^{2} }

 \mapsto \: \tt{Area \:  \:  of \:  \:  the \:  \:  piece \:  \:  left \:  \: out =Area \:  \: of \:  \:  the \:  \: cardboard \:-  \: Area \:  \: of \:  \:the \:  \: square} \\  \\  \tt{ =( 5625 - 625 )\:  {cm}^{2} = 5000 \:  {cm}^{2} }

More Information :-

• Perimeter of the square = 4 × square

• Area of the rectangle = Length × Breadth

• Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

• Area of circle = π × (radius)²

• Circumference of the circle = 2 × π × radius
