LET US CONSIDER A CIRCLE WITH RADIUS 'r'

cut the circle into equal sections as shown in the fig.1

and arrange them in the form of rectangle

as shown in the fig.2

Now the area = length × breadth

area of circle = r×(2×pie×r)/2

A = r× pie×r

A = pie×r^2
