In our lower jaw, the teeth with which we cut and bite are -

Incisors are the sharp front teeth. They are 4 in number (in the lower jaw) and are used for cutting food.

Premolars have two pointed cusps on their biting surface. They are also 4 in number (in the lower jaw) and are used for biting.
