Cutting vegetables with a sharp knife is easier because surface area ( area in contact) is smaller. So, the pressure applied to cut the vegetables will be greater. While in case of a blunt knife, the surface ( area in contact) will be greater so, the pressure applied will be smaller. Since, cutting vegetables with a sharp knife will be easier than with a blunt knife.
