x=cost price

y=profit%

s.p= \frac{100+y}{100}

therefor \frac{100+10}{100} (x)

= \frac{11}{10} (x)

if it is sold for 12% more

s.p= \frac{100+12}{100}*x

= \frac{6}{5}*x

according to given condition

 \frac{6}{5}*x-\frac{11}{10}*x=99

multiply 10 on bothside

 10*\frac{6}{5}-10*\frac{11}{10}=10*992*6x-11x=99012x-11x=990x=990
