Given info : cylindrical container with no lid has an outer radius 30 cm and depth of 10 cm. The thickness of the container is 0.1 m. It needs to be coated on the inner walls with a paint which costs ₹ 6300/m².

To find : The cost of painting the walls is..

solution : it needs to be coated on the walls with a paint which costs 6300 Rs/m² .

so let's find area of inner walls of container.

radius of inner part, R = 30cm - 0.1m = 30cm - 10cm = 20cm

now area of inner walls = 2πRh

= 2 × 3.14 × 20cm × 10cm

= 12.56 × 100 cm²

= 1256 × 10¯⁴ m²

= 0.1256 m²

now cost of painting the walls = area of inner walls × rate

= 0.1256 × 6300 Rs.

= 791.28 Rs.

Therefore the cost of painting the walls is 791.28 (approx)
