cystic fibrosis is a gene allele which severely affects the function of the lungs . this allele is inherited as a reccesive trait . individuals who carry two copies of this allele and are homozygous recessive suffer . the lungs contain thick mucus which make them more susceptible to the disease. individuals with cystic fibrosis have shortened life span . mary oni is planning to get married next month and she wants to know if she is carrying the CF gene allele because she is concerned about passing this gene allele to her children. her parents were both normal but her paternal uncle died of CF when he was young both of her paternal grandparents were also normal
1)what is the genotype of Mary's father
2)if Mary's mother does not have any history of CF, should mary bother to see if she has the CF gene allele (ii)why?
3)if she marries a man without any history of CF what is the possibility of her having a child with CF
