Step-by-step explanation:

1.1 Factoring d2-2d-4

The first term is, d2 its coefficient is 1 .

The middle term is, -2d its coefficient is -2 .

The last term, "the constant", is -4

Step-1 : Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant 1 • -4 = -4

Step-2 : Find two factors of -4 whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is -2 .

Although, it can't be solved as an equation but,if you want to solve it or simplify it by factorization,

Here it is...,

D² + 2D + 4 = O

=> D² + 2D = O - 4 ( Moving 4 to RHS)

=> D(D + 2) = O - 4 (Factorizing LHS)

=> D(D+2) = 1(O-4) (Equation in factorized form obtained by again Factorizing RHS)

Thank You
