16 2/3 is 50/3 %

So if cost of I litre milk is 1 rupee

so cost of 1 litre of mixture is 30/35 i.e. 6/7

so

cost of milk is 1 re. cost of water is zero

\ /

cost of mixture is 6/7

/ \

vol of milk is vol of water is 7/6 -1

6/7 -0 1 - 6/7 = 1/7

i.e 6/7

so the ratio is 6/7 : 1/7

thus milk:water::6:1 in mixture
